Capt. Panagiotis Drosos - Chief Executive Officer

Capt. Panagiotis Drosos started his sea career in 1992 having graduated from the Greek Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos. After a combined sea and shore working experience he obtained the Master’s Class A Degree.  
He started his shore career by joining the operations department of a leading Athens based tanker company in 2003 and progressed to become the Fleet Manager of 12 vessels (3 Aframax product tankers, 3 Aframax oil tankers and 6 MRs) by 2006. In the beginning of 2009 he joined Almi Tankers S.A. as the CEO to initiate its activities in tanker operations.

Mr. George Ousantzopoulos – DPA/DMR/EMR/OMR

Mr. George Ousantzopoulos is a Naval Architect and Marine Engineer having graduated from the National Technical University (NTUA) of Athens in 2003. During his studies he also gained sea-going experience by serving as an apprentice engine officer aboard oil tankers. He continued his studies to obtain a Master of Business Administration in “Techno-Economical Systems” at the two-year joint program of the NTUA, the National Kapodestrian University of Athens and the University of Piraeus. From 2004 to 2006 he was employed in the technical department of a leading tanker company as a technical superintendent for a fleet of product carriers and crude oil tankers. In 2007 he joined a high-standards product carrier and LPG managing company as the DPA/DMR/EMR/OMR. In June 2009, he joined Almi Tankers S.A. with the same responsibilities and also as the company’s training officer.

Mr. Michael Moschonas – Technical Manager

Mr. Michael Moschonas is a Naval Architect and Marine Engineer who has graduated from the University Federico II (Naples – Italy) in 1996. From 1998 to 2003, he was assigned to different new building projects, as new building supervisor and site manager. From 2002, he was employed by a leading Athens based tanker company as a new building supervisor, superintendent engineer and finally technical fleet manager of twelve oil tankers. In May 2009 he joined Almi Tankers S.A. as technical manager.

Mr. Ypatios Drosos – Management Advisor

Mr. Ypatios Drosos is a Naval Architect, Mechanical and Marine Engineer and Commodore Hellenic Navy (retired). He graduated from the Hellenic Naval Academy as a Marine Engineer, with postgraduate studies at the Hellenic Naval Academy in General Engineering Management Systems. He continued his education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology achieving the degrees of Ocean Engineer and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
He had an active career as a naval officer which included various positions in naval bases, the position of a Staff member of the General Headquarters and served up to the rank of Chief Engineer aboard naval ships. He also served as the commanding officer of the Hellenic Navy Detachment of Skaramanga where his main tasks were the supervision of new buildings, repairs and conversions of naval ships in addition to repairs of floating docks.
After the completion of his military career, Mr. Ypatios Drosos moved to the private sector were he held various positions that enabled him to apply and further expand his wide-ranging professional experience in merchant shipping companies and organizations. After serving as the Director of the “C” Directorate (Certificates and Training) of the Hellenic Register of Shipping, he acted as an advisor to well established shipping companies located in Piraeus and became the Technical Manager of a high quality tanker managing company for 18 vessels. Thereafter he moved to the position of the Technical Manager for a leading Piraeus based shipping company, having the technical management of more than 80 vessels, mainly tankers. Finally he decided to join Almi Tankers S.A. as a management advisor contributing his extensive knowledge and experience to the task of building up a model tanker management company.
He is a member of the Hellenic Technical Chamber, an associate member of SNAME (Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers), member of MARTECMA (Marine Technical Managers Association) and a founder member of BV Hellenic Marine Technical Committee.

Capt. Angelos Filoilias - Operations

Capt.Angelos Filoilias started his career in 1999 having graduated from the Greek Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos. After 6 years of sea service he obtained the Master’s Class B Degree in 2005. He continued his studies to obtain a Master’s Degree in Shipping, Trade and Finance at Cass Business School in London, UK. He started his shore career by joining the operations department of a leading Athens based Tanker Company in 2007 and progressed to become Fleet Manager of 13 vessels (3 Aframax product carriers, 4 Aframax oil tankers and 6 MRs). On July 2009 he joined Almi Tankers S.A to initiate its operations department activities.

Capt. Christoforos Efstathiou - Marine Manager

Capt. Christoforos Efstathiou started his career in 1990 having graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy of Hydra with honors. He holds a captain class A certificate of competency after serving in various sizes of oil – product and chemical tankers.
He started his shore career as site office manager supervising the construction of 46 vessels of various types and sizes in Japanese and Korean shipyards.
He continued his carrier as Vetting Manager of an oil company for the last two years before joining Almi Tankers on Feb 2010 as Marine Manager.


Capt. Stylianos Dimouleas – Chief Operating Officer 

Capt. Dimouleas has broad knowledge of the industry, having both extensive seafaring and shore based experience. He spent 16 years of his career at sea with a company that operates both Bulkers and Tankers, serving as an Officer and Master on board Aframax, Suezmax and VLCC tankers. He has overseen five newbuilding projects involving Aframaxes, Suezmaxes and VLCCs. After concluding his seafaring career, he went on to work ashore as Marine and Vetting Team Leader and as DPA, CSO and EMR for a shipping company operating Suezmaxes and MR product Tankers, as well as Panamax Bulkers. In September 2010, he joined the Almi Tankers Team in the capacity of Human Resources Manager and oversaw the Investors in People standard recognition as Project Leader, while he was also accountable for the Company’s HR expansion plan for both sea and shore personnel. In October 2012, he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer. 

Capt. Nikos Kefalas - Crew Manager

Capt. Nikos Kefalas is a graduate of the National Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos, and is also a holder of a Diploma in Port and Shipping Administration and a Masters Degree in Marine Policy from the University of Cardiff. Capt. Kefalas started his professional career ashore as a Hull and Machinery claims adjuster in the UK. He then worked for a leading tanker management company for over 10 years both at sea and ashore, with his main areas of responsibility being the marine and quality assurance elements of tanker management and operation. Capt. Kefalas joined the Almi Tankers team in the capacity of Quality Assurance Manager in August 2011 and assumed the duties of Crew Manager in January 2013.
