We are looking for a Marine Superintendent to join our Head Office team in Athens.

The successful candidate should have:

Qualifications:

Class 1 Certificate of Competency (Deck Officer) with at least three (3) years actual sea service in senior rank on oil tankers

Desirable Skills & Knowledge:

  • Extensive knowledge of Navigational procedures and standards.
  • In-depth understanding of tanker operations, including cargo handling, mooring operation, ballast management, and pollution prevention.
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of the inspection, operation, certification,and maintenance of vessels.
  • Good knowledge of OCIMF requirements.
  • Good knowledge of relevant national, international (ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL,STCW etc) and flag state rules and regulations.
  • Strong focus on risk assessments and hazard identification.
  • Good knowledge of incident investigation and analysis
  • Good knowledge of vessel maintenance and operation.
  • Understanding commercial issues.
  • Appreciation for the wellbeing of seafarers on board vessels.
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills, team spirit and a growth mindset.
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to empower, motivate and effectively delegate.

 Travel & Sailing Requirements

  • Availability to sail with vessels for onboard audits, inspections, and for any other project, when required.

We are looking for a PMS Coordinator to join our Head Office team in Athens.

The successful candidate should have:

Qualifications:

  • University Degree in an Engineering related field (Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering).
  • One (1) year experience in a similar position within a shipping company (preferably operating tankers) or two (2) years in a PMS provider.

Desirable Skills & Knowledge:

  • Very good knowledge of operating software (E-PMS etc)
  • Good technical knowledge of vessel structure, equipment and operations.
  • Basic knowledge of shipping operations and global trade.
  • Basic knowledge of relevant national and international maritime rules, regulations and legislation (ISM, IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW) etc.
  • Awareness of OCIMF requirements.
  • Awareness of ISO Standards
  • Basic knowledge on statistical analysis (i.e. KPIs)
  • Very good administrative, organisational and planning skills.
  • Teamworker and effective communicator with an ability to build cooperative relationships inside and outside of the organisation.
  • Analytically driven with problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Demonstrating flexibility/willingness to travel on behalf of the Company, as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To coordinate the Planned Maintenance Program established by the Company, through the applications / software adopted, in cooperation with the Superintendent Engineers and the Chief Technical Officer
  • Assist in the coordination of vessel maintenance programs, data review, compliance monitoring, and operational troubleshooting, ensuring adherence to company policies, maritime regulations, and industry standards.
  • Monitoring and updating Company’s KPI’s and Department’s MOC (Management Of Change) process.
  • Alerting the Technical Supt. Engineers for overdue & deferred PM jobs.
  • Supporting spare parts inventory update.
