We are looking for an experienced Chartering Officer to join our Head Office team in Athens.
The successful candidate should have:
Qualifications:
- University Degree in Shipping/Economics/Shipping Law/Business Management
- Minimum 5 years’ chartering experience with a shipowner or major operator (Suezmax / VLCC experience preferred)
Desirable Skills & Knowledge:
- Sound knowledge of geography, voyage estimation, port distances, port information and charges throughout the world and facilities at different places
- Extensive knowledge of vessels, shipping operations and global trade patterns
- Very good knowledge of the carriage of various types of oil cargoes
- Understanding the various charter party forms and terms
- Basic knowledge of different types of insurance and underlying legislation
- Basic knowledge of claims issues
- Strong negotiation, critical and analytical thinking skills
- Strong administrative, organisational and planning skills
- Strong reporting, monitoring and attention-to-detail skills

Key Responsibilities:
- Fixing vessels in the spot market, maintaining close relationships with charterers and brokers, and supporting the strategic commercial management of our fleet
- Perform Voyage estimations and analyses
- Negotiate and conclude spot fixtures under voyage and time charter employments
- Analyse market trends and identify trading opportunities
- Maintain daily communication with brokers, charterers, and internal stakeholders
- Work closely with operations and post-fixture teams to ensure smooth execution of fixtures
- Contribute to the commercial strategy of the tanker fleet

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our Head Office team in Athens for 1 year employment contract.
The successful candidate should have:

- University Degree in Shipping/Economics/Finance/Accounting /Business Management related field

- Basic knowledge of accounting issues.
- Administrative, organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Promotion of Company’s Vision, Mission, Values and Behaviours both internally and externally.
- Recording invoices and payments. Preparing payments to foreign and local suppliers.
- Communicating with creditors orally and in writing.
- Ensuring that entries are made into the accounting software accurately and in a timely fashion.
- Providing any required assistance to the Accounting Manager and the Accountants.
