We are looking for a Senior Marine Officer to join our Head Office team in Athens.
The successful candidate should have:
- Class 3 Certificate of Competency (Deck Officer) and/or University degree in a maritime related field.
- Two (2) years in a similar position with a tanker shipping company (if holder of University degree). Two (2) years’ seagoing experience on board tankers (if holder of a deck officer’s license).
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of the inspection, operation, certification, and maintenance of vessels.
- Good knowledge of relevant national, international (ISM, SOLAS MARPOL, STCW etc.) and flag state rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 50001 and ISPS auditing standards.
- Good knowledge of incident investigation and root cause analysis processes.
- Good knowledge of risk assessment and risk management principles and processes.
- Experience of working with shipping industry management systems.
- Understanding of commercial and business issues.
- Appreciation for the wellbeing of the seafarers and the living conditions on board vessels.
- Very good command of the English language.
- Microsoft Office Suite knowledge.
- Very good communication, cross-cultural & interpersonal skills, team spirit and a growth mindset.
