Almi Tankers S.A. is proud to announce that the company has been certified for compliance according to the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards, proof of Almi Tankers’ commitment to its core principle of operational integrity.
Following thorough external audits both at head office and onboard M/T Almi Star, Lloyds Register Quality Assurance presented Almi Tankers S.A. with the certifications at a ceremony at the Posidonia 2010 exhibition on the 10th of June.
The accreditations are internationally recognised awards that testify a company’s commitment to quality, as well as health, safety and environmental excellence. However, Almi Tankers S.A. did not seek the awards for marketing purposes. The company underwent the audit process in line with its ethos of continuous improvement, intentionally putting its management systems and processes under intense scrutiny in order to find areas that can be further enhanced. In the future, the company intends to continue to operate in the spirit of these qualifications and maintain the high standards that the industry requires. Almi Tankers S.A. is the first ship management company to gain these accreditations by LRQA in its first year of operations, and along with the company’s initiation of the Investors in People standard recognition process, Almi Tankers will continue to seek to establish itself as a leader in the fields of quality, health, safety and environmental excellence.
Although the certifications are awarded to Almi Tankers S.A., these prestigious qualifications have only been achieved through the diligent efforts and uncompromising standards of the company’s team, both ashore and at sea.
