Almi Tankers is proud to announce that it has gained the ‘Investors in People – We invest in Wellbeing’ accreditation following an assessment conducted in June 2023 by Investors in People International (IIP).
Captain Stylianos Dimouleas, CEO, shared: “We have considered the well-being of our people as a cornerstone of our ‘We care about our People’ culture since 2010, when we also launched our ‘Total Crew Welfare’ campaign. Working with IIP has given us an essential framework to build upon and develop our well-being strategy even further. We are extremely proud of this accreditation as it is a very important milestone and I want to congratulate all our people for this achievement!”
The Investors in People (IIP) standard is a UK framework for improving business performance through the training, development and management of people that has achieved international recognition over its 30-year history helping over 50,000 organisations and 11 million people across the globe.
As stated by Investors in People “Maintaining a healthy team is not only an ethical priority for organisations but has also been shown to reduce costs, sickness, accidents and absenteeism whilst improving profitability, turnover and staff personnel retention. We assess how the health & wellbeing of your organisation is performing against our employee wellbeing framework, and we advise and support you on how to improve over time. Our wellbeing framework will help you identify where you are at in your wellbeing journey; by looking into the areas of physical, social and psychological wellbeing.”
